Schoolplaten Tsjechië, Tsjecho-Slowakije

The catalogue "Schoolplaten Tsjecho-Slowakije" comprises wall charts (Školní obrazy, Školní tabule, Školní plakáty) which are published for educational purposes in the 19th and 20st century. Before 1918 Czechoslovakia in fact did not exist as a country, but was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (Moldavia). Many (beautiful) plates are published, the museum in Prerov for example has 8600 platen in its collection. Some series from other countries like Germany where distributed with Czech subtitles, but many original series were pubished by excellent Czech authors and painters. In 1993 Czechoslovakia devided into the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
